From October 2021 to May 2023, I served as the editor for Edina Magazine, a monthly community lifestyle magazine focused on the people, places and events around the city of Edina, Minn. Edina Magazine is one of seven community lifestyle magazines published by Local. (Previously published by Tiger Oak Media.)

As editor, I created the magazine’s monthly editorial lineup, making first contact with sources and assigning articles to a team of staff writers. Upon receiving drafts, I edited and fact-checked all articles, offering developmental and line edits. I also conducted my own interviews and wrote feature stories on a variety of lifestyle topics—from home renovation and landscape design to beauty trends, human interest profiles, business features and more. Once manuscripts were finalized, I collaborated with my art director on visuals and photoshoot direction, and once everything was in layout, I proofread the whole book, front to back, before going to press.
