The past several years I’ve become much more conscious of what I put in my body—reading labels, cooking more often, noticing how certain foods make me feel. And I’ve also become more picky about the beauty and personal care products I use. Because did you know your skin in your body’s largest organ? And what you put on your skin can impact your body’s wellbeing? This first sunk in about three years ago, when I was hearing more and more about how toxic drugstore sunscreens can be for you. So I set out to find a more “natural” sunscreen that worked, and that’s when I first heard about Beautycounter—a skincare and make-up brand committed to making high-quality products with safer, cleaner ingredients. I ordered their sunscreen and fell in love. Not only did it work better than most other sunscreens I had tried (no sunburn!) but I felt good knowing it was formulated with safer ingredients. Slowly, I began trying other Beautycounter products, and have continued to be impressed not only by the quality but also by their mission to get safer products in the hands of everyone.

So, in 2019, I became a Beautycounter consultant. As I continued to learn about the virtually unregulated personal care industry in the U.S., I decided to join Beautycounter in their mission to get safer beauty products into the hands of everyone. I want to help educate people on the reality of beauty standards in our country and around the world, and serve as a resource as you explore what safer, cleaner beauty products look like in your own life.

If you’re interested in learning more about Beautycounter’s products or mission, or would simply like to chat more about cleaning up your beauty routine and my experience in doing that, I’d love to chat.
